Memorial service for DeWane "Duey" Kersh will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, in Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel.

DeWane "Duey" Kersh, age 54, Snyder, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 north of Manitou, Oklahoma.  He was born September 23, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois.  He was raised in Michigan and enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served for four years.  He was part of the first Western Pacific Tour which departed June 23, 1981 with the 7th Fleet aboard the USS Anchorage.

DeWane later worked as an electronic technician; a skill he learned in the Navy.  He enjoyed tinkering.  DeWane had moved to the Lawton area in 2014.

He is survived by five children and their spouses, Cher and Tony Menifee, Lawton, Christopher Kersh, Sparta, Tennessee, Sabrina Kersh, Garland, Texas, Scott and Nicole Kersh, Spencer, Tennessee and Brittany Kersh, Livingston, Texas; his former spouse, Brenda Carter, Sparta, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren, Gabriel, Mikayla, Kaelynn, Kryssa, Kaylor, Jayden, Cole, Nakita, Alexander, Zayden, Damon and Jessi; two brothers, Jack and Hilton Kersh.

His parents, Hilton and Nancy Rae Kersh, and his foster mother, Sarge, preceded him in death.
