Funeral service for Dera Mae "Dee" Bowen will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrel Maddox officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

Dera Mae "Dee" Bowen, age 72, Lawton, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in Oklahoma City.  Dee was born September 18, 1943 in Springfield, Illinois to Leo and Sylvia Combs.  She lived many places growing up and graduated from Technical High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She married Gerald F. "Jerry" Bowen on March 12, 1967 in Lawton.

Dee had worked for Non Appropriated Funds and Civil Service at Fort Sill until her retirement due to health concerns.  She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband, of the home; three sons and their wives, LTC David Michael and Jennifer Bowen, San Antonio, Texas, Steven Lee and Christy Bowen, Apache, Oklahoma and Mark Allen and Kim Bowen, Bakersfield, California; six grandchildren, Ashley Bowen, Tristan Bowen, Meghan Bowen, Justin Bowen, Lexi Bowen and Liza Bowen; two brothers, Leon Combs, North Carolina and Allen Combs and wife Gay, Lawton; several nieces and nephews.

Her parents and a brother, Dan Combs, preceded her in death.
