Age 76, Lawton - Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Rooney died Saturday in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was born October 21, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska to Albert and Pauline (Kruse) Spracklin. She married SSG (Ret) Jack Rooney on November 14, 1953 in Papillion, Nebraska. He died August 19, 1994. As a military spouse Mrs. Rooney lived all over the world. She was a member of Military Catholic Women of the Church. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Shatswell, Lawton and Vickie McMullin, Oklahoma City, a son, COL John Rooney and his wife Kathleen, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, two brothers, Tiny Spracklin, Omaha, Nebraska and Darrell Spracklin, Commerce City, Colorado, a sister, Paulette Spracklin, Omaha, eight grandchildren, Shannon Shatswell and Sheena Shatswell, both of Lawton, Brian McMullin and Shelley McMullin, both of Oklahoma City, Scott Rooney, Alexandria, Virginia, Kevin Rooney, Brooklyn, New York, Colleen Rooney, Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Caitlin Rooney, Aberdeen Proving Ground and four great grandchildren.
