Dean Edward Ward, 40, of Lawton sadly passed in his home on August 31, 2026.

Dean was born on October 17, 1985, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Kris Ann Ward and Dale Edward Dennis. He grew up as an only child who was always smiling, graduating from MacArthur High School in 2004.

After graduation, Dean worked for various construction companies developing skills in roofing, siding, and more. His experience led him to be a self-employed Handyman who loved to solve problems and serve his community.

Growing up, Dean developed a love for theme parks and the thrill of roller coasters. Although his first roller coaster ride left him terrified, the adrenaline rush quickly turned that fear into a love for the excitement. He carried that adventurous spirit with him, even creating his own stunts inspired by MTV. Dean was also a true car enthusiast who enjoyed both driving and working on his cars. He was an avid artist who expressed himself through his drawings and found peace and enjoyment in fishing.

He is survived by his parents; his aunt, Leona Ward; cousins, Christine Talant and her husband, Jared, and April Monetathchi and her husband, Camden; as well as many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Janice Marie and Joe Edward Ward.
