For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord.

Our precious Dax Grady McLaughlin was born sleeping on October 28, 2018, to Jentry and Paige McLaughlin.  Though our "Dax Man" was never able to join us, he was loved immensely by friends and family alike.  His time on this earth answered our prayers and brought us immeasurable joy.

Dax is survived by his parents; maternal grandparents, Phil and Lori Veazey; paternal grandparents, Larry and Teresa McLaughlin; uncle, Jarrod McLaughlin; aunt and uncle, Getse and Payne Veazey; and cousin, Harper Veazey.  He is also survived by great-grandparents, Jim and Lorraine Baird and Joyce Veazey.  Dax is survived by a large extended family and many close friends.

Some lives are marked by their length, his was marked by its brevity.  But his was no less a life.  He will forever live in our hearts and minds, and he will always be our dearest love.  We mourn his absence on earth, but not his destination.  Dax waits for us in the arms of our savior, watching over us every day.  And though he was always God's child, he will forever be our son.
