David Lynn "Dubby" Miller, II age 50, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at his parent's home north of Lawton, Oklahoma. He was born February 9, 1975 in Lawton to David and Shirley (Plumbtree) Miller. David was a gifted writer with a lifelong love of the arts. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in professional writing. After graduating, David made his home in Norman, Oklahoma and later was employed by the University of Oklahoma. Writing was both his passion and his voice. He expressed himself through blogging and thoughtful movie critiques, and he found deep joy in music and film, which remained constant sources of inspiration throughout his life.

Known to many as "Dubby", David had a creative spirit and a reflective nature. He valued ideas, expression, and authenticity more than material things, and he connected with others through shared stories, songs, and films that moved him.

David is survived by his loving parents, David and Shirley (Plumbtree) Miller, his sister, Jennifer LaFrance, nephew, Dylan LaFrance, and Dylan's wife Kyla, his great nephew, Dean and great niece, Hadley and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John C. Miller and Pearl (Noe) Miller and his maternal grandparents, Marion and Rubye (Day) Plumbtree.
