Funeral for CSM (Retired) EJ Thomas, 69, Elgin, will be at 12:30 PM Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel. CSM Thomas died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. Burial with full military honors will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. He was born June 3, 1944 in Harlan, Kentucky to Christopher and Sadie (Broughton) Thomas. He married Charlene Osborne on December 23, 1967 in Mary Alice, Kentucky. CSM Thomas was awarded many decorations and medals while serving in the U.S. Army. He retired after thirty years of service. Survivors include his wife, of the home, daughter, Angela Ann Ellis and her husband Michael John, Lawton, son, James Thomas and his wife Angela, Grand Prairie, Texas, five grandchildren, Sarah Ellis and Jessica Ellis, both of Lawton, Abigail Thomas, Ethan Thomas and Zachary Thomas, all of Grand Prairie, two brothers, Gary Wayne Thomas and Tommy Thomas and several nieces and nephews.
