Crystal Dana Carpenter-Woodson, 48, Elgin, OK, passed away peacefully in Lawton, OK, surrounded by her family and loved ones, on Saturday, November 3, 2018 after a brief illness.

She was born October 14, 1970, in Brooklyn, NY to Linda Louise Bryson and Jewel Heyward Carpenter. In February 1997 she married Lorenzo R. Woodson. Crystal was raised in Tacoma, WA and graduated from Clover Park High School in 1988 and was a graduate of University of Washington-Tacoma in Politics, Values, Social Change and University of Oklahoma in Human Relations.

Crystal always was a fun-loving person, full of happiness and had enormous energy that kept her and others young at heart. She was excited to do the simplest of things and hanging out with family and friends she loved. She cherished family gatherings and get-togethers with friends of past and present. She loved to cook and entertain friends at every opportunity. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and was able to look at things with a positive attitude; and her resilience was exemplary, as she showed everyone to live life in the moment.

We will miss our loving Crystal. She leaves us rich in unforgettable memories and we will live our lives knowing she is watching over us. She will be always remembered as a caring and nurturing person whose greatest passion was helping others and enjoying life.
