Services for Connie Lynne Lauen, 58, Snyder will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder Chapel with Rev. Jim Perkin, Pastor of the Snyder First United Methodist Church officiating. Connie passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in the Mountain Park Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder. * The family will greet friends Tuesday evening, June 3, 2014 from 6pm until 7pm at the funeral home. * She was born October 9, 1955 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Alfred Killman Lauen, Jr. and Anna Dolores Ousley. She graduated from Mountain Park High School in 1973, and played basketball on scholarship at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus. She ran the Landmark restaurant in Snyder with her mother for several years. In 1993 she worked for the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite, Oklahoma and in 2007 she went to work for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections Altus Work Release Center as the food service manager. She avidly enjoyed fishing, enjoyed cooking, horseback riding, loved animals, was a huge OU fan and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her daughter Shandii Grantham and husband David of Mountain Park, her father Bud Lauen of Snyder, brother Dennis Lauen and wife Betsy of Blanchard, OK, grandson Cole Grantham of Mountain Park, two nephews, Marshall Lauen and wife Ashley of Norman, OK, Nathan Lauen and wife Shannon of Blanchard, OK and two great nephews, Mason and Kellen Lauen. She was preceded in death by her mother.
