Obituary

Funeral services for Cody Everett Allen Lemon will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Bethel Assembly of God, in Lawton, Oklahoma, with Reverend Nancy Dacci, of Lawton, Oklahoma, officiating.

Burial will follow in Letitia Cemetery, Lawton, Oklahoma.

Cody Lemon, 26, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He was born on April 7, 1997, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Tony and Tonya (Gray) Lemon. Cody attended Shidler Public School from Head Start until his graduation in 2015. He played baseball and basketball, but basketball was his favorite.

Cody met his future wife at school. She had her eye on him when she was in kindergarten, and he was in the first grade. Tony, Cody's father, calls her a stalker, but Danee simply says she loved Cody from afar. It took her until 2014 to finally land him. They dated for two years before marrying on December 15, 2016, at Webb City Church on God in Webb City, Oklahoma.

Cody's first job was with the City of Shidler, mowing lawns. He then worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Ponca City, Oklahoma. After moving to Lawton, Oklahoma, he worked for Discount Tire. He also worked with Discount Tire in Wichita, Kansas, and then returned to work for them in Lawton.

Most importantly, Cody was a man who loved God and was always seeking Him. He knew firsthand how God can keep you through the storm. His life had many ups and downs, but Cody depended on God to keep him going. Cody also had a great sense of humor, and his Aunt Sandra loved kidding him. He loved his family, getting together on Sundays for food and a good round of cards or just hanging out. He will be missed so much.

Cody is survived by his wife, Danee Lemon, of the home; five daughters: Kodi, Logan, Toni, Andee, and Rian, all of the home; his parents, of Lawton; three sisters: Brittany Lemon and partner, Adam Bourland, of Lawton; Erin Saldivar and husband, Juan, of Lawton; and Trista Warrick and partner, Harry Saldivar, of Gresham, Oregon; grandmothers, JoAnn Adamson of Shidler, Oklahoma, and Nancy Dacci of Lawton; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cody loved his family and was determined to take care of them. He would have stood up to anyone who would have tried to take advantage of or hurt them in any way. He was very stubborn and loved by so many. Cody will be greatly missed but is no longer in pain.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations go to GoFundMe at www.gofundme.com/f/cody-lemon-funeral-fundfamily-support?cdn-cache=0 or Cashapp $daneelemon to support the family during this transition.
