Funeral service for Clyde Jones, 90, Moore, OK will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Fletcher Chapel with Pastor Lynn Ice, Southgate Pentecostal Holiness Church, Moore, OK officiating. Mr. Jones passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher, OK under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Fletcher. He was born March 30, 1925 in Chickasha, OK to Walter Thomas and Maude Sara (Ball) Jones. He served in the US Army Air Corp during WW II from 1943 until 1946. He married Dorothy L. Mullenix on April 4, 1949 in Wichita Falls, TX. She preceded him in death on November 5, 2006. After his time in the Air Corp, he worked in the oil fields for 15 years before going to work for the US Postal Service Maintenance Division. He retired after 30 years of Service. Clyde's family was most important to him. He enjoyed the grandchildren, and loved fishing and gardening. After Dorothy passed away he spent most everyday at the Moore Senior Citizens Center, making friends and helping others. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his 2 daughters, Linda Rutledge and her husband Larry of Tuttle, OK, Beverly Davis and husband Terry of Maysville, OK, 6 grandchildren, Stacy Cox and husband Tony of Moore, OK, Gina Blankenship and husband Timmy of Elmore City, OK, David Ray and wife Melissa of Norman, OK, Amber Harmon of Maysville, OK, Joshua Rutledge of Oklahoma City, April Wheeler and husband Tim of Tuttle, OK, and 11 great grandchildren, Cameron Ray, Jared Carter, David L. Ray, Alexis Harmon, Taelor Rutledge, Josie McKovan, Nathan Wheeler, Corbin Martin, Gavin Martin, Davis Wheeler and McKovan McCoy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
