Obituary

Memorial service for Clifford C. "Cliff" Monroe will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Cliff passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the age of 64, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories.

Cliff was born in Fort Huachuca, Arizona on  July 18, 1960, to Clifford Clinton and Heide Marie (Engelhard) Monroe.

Cliff dedicated his life to his family and his work. He served his country proudly in the Army before building a long career in radiology, often working two or even three jobs at a time, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family and ensure their needs were always met.

Cliff's greatest joy was his family. He was married for 25 years. Together, they had two daughters and five grandsons, who were the lights of his life. He cherished every moment spent with his family, always showing his love in big and small ways.

Cliff loved hunting and fishing and found peace in the quiet moments nature offered. He also had a passion for cooking and took every opportunity to share that love with others, whether he was preparing a meal for family or surprising someone with food, small gifts, or even treats for his daughters' dogs, he was always thinking of others.

Cliff was known for his sharp sense of humor and his playful way of giving people a hard time. He brought laughter and joy wherever he went, reminding everyone around him to find lightness in life.

Cliff's selflessness, love, and humor will be missed by all who knew him. Though his presence can never be replaced, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Cliff is survived by his two daughters, April M. Ward and husband Michael and Crystal D. Underwood and husband Jason, five grandsons, Caden Long, Caleb Long, Ezra Ward, Jadon Underwood and Camren Underwood, one sister, Shirley Loden and husband Jim and Viola Monroe, mother of his children and wife for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marilyn Brewer.
