Memorial service for Cleo "Dutch" Hewes, 90, Apache will be at 2:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Apache with Brother Rue Scott officiating. Mrs. Hewes died Monday, January 6, 2014 in Apache. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton. She was born July 14, 1923 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Edward Alfonso and Sarah Belle (Crow) Stallings. She married Lester Hewes on June 21, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died February 27, 1997. She and her husband owned Hewes Grocery Store in Apache for several years. Survivors include her grandson, Jerry Don Hewes, Jr. and his wife Lynn, Apache, three great grandsons, Brandon Coffenberry, Scotty Runzel and Robert Burleson, sister, Wynell Cook, Oklahoma City and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Jerry Don Hewes, Sr and Ronald Stallings, five brothers, Roy Stallings, Lee Stalllings, Glenn Stallings, Robert Stallings and Bill Stallings, four sisters, Lillie Stallings, Juanita Stallings, Alta Davis and Clara Bell Tendall, granddaughter, Angie Stallings, grandson, Curtis Hewes and great grandson, Jon Coffenberry.
