Funeral service for Claudine Marie May will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William F. Watkins officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Claudine Marie "Granny" May, age 86, Lawton, went home on Monday, January 29, 2018 in Lawton.  She was born May 13, 1931 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Walter Thomas and Claudie Mozell (Thomas) Beavers. She grew up in Oklahoma and Texas with two siblings and many many cousins. She met her husband Donald R. May and they were married in Dawn, TX on July 17, 1948. Don and Claudine were married for 51 years until Donald's passing on September 27, 1999.

Don and Claudine moved to Lawton in 1957. During her 60 years in Lawton, Claudine raised 7 children in addition to working for many years in the game room at Cameron University. Many of the students at Cameron University knew Claudine as "Granny". Don and Claudine also worked with Grace Harding Homes for many years as well.

She is survived by her 7 children, daughter, Debbie Talbert of Tampa, FL, son Brent May of Indiahoma, OK, son Keith May and wife Treva of Lawton, OK, daughter, Donna Walker of Austin, TX, son Scott May of Lawton, OK, son, Jeff May of Oklahoma City, OK, and daughter, Keri May of Oklahoma City, OK, sister, Waltine Tucek of Canyon, TX, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Her parents, husband, one brother and one grandson preceded her in death.
