Age 82, Rochester, Minnesota - Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawton with Rev. Philip Seeton, pastor officiating. Mrs. Jones died Saturday in Rochester. Burial will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Lawton. On June 23, 1928 a precious baby girl, Clarice Faye, was delivered to Harriet and Billy Williams in Arapaho Oklahoma. On July 10, 2010 at 5:00 a.m. in Rochester, Minnesota after a long illness, the Lord chose to bring Faye home so everyone in heaven will enjoy her fun spirit, brilliant mind, and beautiful soul. She was raised in Checotah, Oklahoma with her loving family and had many wonderful adventures. She loved riding horses and mules, climbing trees, singing, gardening, and especially reading. Her family members remember her feisty spirit, witty sense of humor, and her forgiving heart. She attended Central High School in Checotah where she had many fond memories. She moved to Oklahoma City her senior year and graduated from Capital Hill High School in 1948. After graduation, Faye remained in Oklahoma City where she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and met her husband John Paul Jones. They were married on November 11, 1951. They resided in Oklahoma City and together, they raised seven children. Although she was busy as a wife and mother, Faye managed to have a career first at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and later was hired as one of the first women to work at the Frisco/Burlington Northern Railroad. She spent her career as a valuable asset to the Railroad working in the exciting environment she truly loved. In addition to the importance of family and career, Faye felt the right to vote was a privilege and was very involved in supporting her candidates for political office. Faye will be remembered by her children as a wonderful, loving mother, a gifted artist, an avid gardener, a voracious reader, and a truly remarkable woman who would light up a room with her glorious countenance. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Jones Sr.; her loving daughter Marsha Anne Anspaugh; her parents, Billy and Harriet Williams; her brothers, Bud and Kenneth Williams; and her beautiful sister, Darlene Miller. She is survived by her brothers and their spouses, John Williams, Leon and Ramona Williams, Roy and Vera Williams; her sisters and their spouses, Fern Kinslow, and Wanda and John Klimek; her children and their spouses John Jones Jr. M.D. and Ada Multari, M.D., Mary Jones Putnam, David and Beth Jones, Marti and Steve Morton, Victoria Jones and Michael Williams, and Philip and Nancy Jones; her 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and friends who adored her. A special thanks to Nicholas Multari, father of Ada Multari, whose care giving allowed Faye to remain in son and daughter in law John and Ada's home until her departure.
