Obituary

Clarence Herbert Logue, age 90, went to meet his Savior on Saturday, October 10 with his family in the Lawton Oklahoma home of his daughter.  Born November 20, 1929 in Fayetteville of Washington County Arkansas, he was the son of Herbert Logue and Rachel Ann (Peters) Logue.

Clarence married his wife of sixty-four years, Betty Jo Bruce, in Fayetteville Arkansas in 1956.  He served his country through service in the Army including a deployment to Korea during the Korean War.  He retired from Ozarks Electric Cooperative in 1992 after receiving his twenty-five-year watch and his thirty-five year certificate.  He served as the church secretary of First Assembly of God in Fayetteville Arkansas for over forty years.  He had attended First Assembly of God in Lawton Oklahoma for the past year.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Logue. Survivors also include daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Clint Bryan of Lawton Oklahoma, granddaughter and husband, Elizabeth and Brandon Perkins of Lawton Oklahoma, grandson, Stephen Bryan of Lawton Oklahoma, great grandchildren, Sadie Perkins and Logan Perkins of Lawton Oklahoma, sister Ruby Sullivan of Springdale Arkansas, and brother, Paul Logue of Springdale Arkansas.

Pappy, as he was known to grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was heard many times telling stories of playing basketball and of throwing a pretty good curve in baseball for Elkins High School.  He enjoyed growing a garden and mowing his own lawn until he was eighty-eight years old as he was oft heard to say.  He enjoyed mall-walking with his wife throughout his retirement.  He could be seen almost daily exercise-walking about sunset with his family on the sidewalks of Cameron University as a ninety-year-old.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am Monday October 19, 2020 at Moore's Chapel, Fayetteville, Arkansas with a private burial to follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
