Age 85, Burkburnett - Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, Oklahoma. Mr. Wright died Saturday in Wichita Falls. Burial will be under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. He was born October 9, 1924 in Snyder, Oklahoma. He grew up in Snyder and graduated from Snyder High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had farmed and worked at the water plant in Snyder and later worked for civil service at the Altus Air Force Base before going to work for civil service at the Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls in 1956. He move to Burkburnett in 1957 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Burkburnett. He is survived by six children and their spouses, William Austin Wright, Wichita Falls, Judy and Tom Sides, Walters, Oklahoma, Anne and Bobby Ladyman, David Wayne and Susan Wright, Rosemary Matlock and James Wright, all of Wichita Falls; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
