Funeral service for Clara Mae Barker Montgomery will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Snyder with Bob Boren, Frederick, OK officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder.

The family will greet friends Friday evening, August 19, 2016 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home in Snyder.

Former Snyder resident Clara Mae Barker Montgomery, 88, of Roanoke, TX passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at her home.  She was born July 4, 1928 at home in the Horsecreek Community, Oklahoma, the daughter of Carl (Bay) and Lillian Wilcox Barker. She lived in the Horsecreek Community and went to school in Horsecreek and Indiahoma.  She was a homemaker and worked at several factories in Frederick and worked for 23 years at Aviall Airlines in Dallas as an airplane mechanic.  She lived with her son Ronnie in Roanoke after her health failed.

She is survived by 2 sons: Ron Montgomery and wife Elizabeth and their children Christina, Renee, and Jerreme of Roanoke, Texas, Ray Massey and wife Kate of Snyder, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren Cody Rose, Ty Rose, Bryan Rose, Jackie Montgomery and wife Daisy, Jeff Montgomery, Austin Montgomery and Jennifer Rawlings; 1 Brother: Doyle Dewayne Barker and wife June; Sister: Norma Jean and Shorty Russell, 1 Sister in-law: Nellie Barker; and numerous grand children, relatives and friends.

Clara Mae was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a son: Bennie Rose, grandchildren: Patricia Anderson, Matthew Earl Massey and Shean Massey; grandparents: Callie Mae and Doc Barker, Tom and Clara Wilcox; 2 brothers: Lendal and wife Nadine Barker and Homer Ray Barker; sister and brother in-law: Teenie and John Dale Kinder.
