Funeral service for Cindy S. Johannes Yarborough, 54, Lawton, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Willoughby officiating. Cindy died Thursday, October 17, in Lawton. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Cedar Point Cemetery near Watonga, Oklahoma. Cindy was born June 14, 1959 in Nuremburg, Germany, to Joe and Pauline Johannes. She grew up in Lawton and was a 1977 graduate of Eisenhower High School. She was a 1981 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor degree in animal science and later earned her certificate in Radiology Technology from the Great Plains Technology Center. She contracted as a CT/MRI Technician with various hospitals. She had been a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lawton and at one time was active in the United Methodist Church in Perry, Oklahoma. She loved animals, rodeos and was a NASCAR fan. She was also a six year breast cancer survivor. She is survived by her parents, Joe and Pauline Johannes, Lawton; a sister, Kathy L. Johannes, Lawton; two aunts and their spouses, Juanita and John Daniel, Woodward, Oklahoma, and Sharon and Ben Cunningham, Collinsville, Oklahoma; two uncles and their spouses, Bill and Frances Smith, Eastland, Texas, and Lewis E. and Joyce Johannes, Longmont, Colorado; as well as numerous cousins.
