Funeral service for Chun Watson will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kichan Song, of Harmony Church, Lawton, Oklahoma officiating.

Burial will follow in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma

Family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Chun Watson, 80, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away surrounded by family in her home Thursday, January 26, 2023, in Lawton. She was born in Umsong-Kun, Korea on May 10, 1942 to Tae Sik and Chang Pun (Sin) Chong and the eldest of three children. She married Buren (BC) Watson on April 22, 1974 in Seoul, Korea and after his military service, they retired in Lawton, Oklahoma.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Chun cherished every moment she could spend with her granddaughters, Maddie and Allison Monroe. She enjoyed morning walks, working in her garden, crocheting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with friends and family. What Chun will be remembered for by many was her gift of cooking delicious Korean food for everyone and never in small portions. Her deep faith and relationship with the Lord gave her peace and a sense of calm.

She is survived by her husband, Buren (BC) Watson of Lawton, Oklahoma; her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Michael Monroe of Lawton, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Maddie Monroe and Allison Monroe of Lawton, Oklahoma; sister and brother-in-law, Chun and Fred Bessette of Lawton, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Chun was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
