Funeral service for Christopher (Chris) Clyde Smith, 66, Lawton will be at 2:00 pm Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cydni Tillery, Associate Pastor of Centenary United Methodist Church, Lawton officiating. Mr. Smith passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 in a Lawton hospital. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Lawton under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. He was born January 18, 1949 in Plainview, TX to Johnny Cager and Betty Jean (Lynn) Smith. He attended school in Lawton and entered the US Army in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1970. He married Helen C. Jackson on April 11, 2008 in Lawton. He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Helen Smith, two sisters, May Adams and Larue Lupi, a brother Chad Shields, two children from a previous marriage to Judy Smith, Christina Shupert and Shannon Smith, four grandchildren, Matt and Devon Smith and Brooke and Kailey Shupert. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father Betty and Marvin Shields and two sisters, Deborah Shields and Sheila Perry.
