Graveside service for Chi Yon Hubrich will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma with Delbert Beard of Lawton, Oklahoma officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Chi Yon Hubrich (Chu), of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on February 9, 2023, surrounded by family. She was 75 years old.

She was born March 3, 1947 in Seoul, Korea to the late Deok Seong Chu & Su Hak Ko. She was the second of seven children.

Chi met her soulmate, James, in Seoul, Korea, where they married in 1973. They moved to Leesville, Louisiana in 1974 where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening, and sewing. She and James eventually moved to Lawton, Oklahoma in 2015 to be closer to family. She will be remembered as a loving wife to James and a pillar of strength to her family.

Chi was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Yon Seong Chu, Yon Woo Chu, and Yon Chul Chu.

She is survived by her sister, Yon Speir & husband, Fred; brothers, Yon Gun Chu and Yon Deok Chu; nieces, Patty & Deborah Dorton, Zoey King, and Deborah (Theobold) Henson; and nephews, Donald & Daniel Theobald, and Jeffrey Hubrich.
