Cherromyne Lynn Barfield, 45, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born in Bad Axe, Michigan, on November 27, 1978, to Bradley Wayne MacDonald and Janice R. (O'Parka) Hertzog.

Cherromyne was a military daughter and, as such, had the opportunity to travel and experience life in different places. She always said her favorite time was when the family lived in Germany. However, like many military families, they eventually returned to the United States. Cherromyne attended high school in Fletcher, Oklahoma, and was a proud member of the graduating class of 1996.

Cherromyne was an adventurist and confident person who was not afraid of challenges. This confidence allowed her to be the owner and operator of a successful insurance company in Lawton, Oklahoma. Despite her business savvy, Cherromyne was more partial to pink than the more subdued "business" colors. In fact, many people would venture to say that she was obsessed with the color pink. Maybe that influenced her love of Hello Kitty, or perhaps the fact that she was a BIG fan of Hello Kitty was what made her love all things pink. It is a toss-up of which obsession came first.

Cherromyne was also multi-talented. She was an avid sewer; she loved to make crafts, and she was well known for her ability to restore old furniture. Anyone who knew her would also say she was a great cook. Perhaps more important than all these talents was her love for animals. One could even argue she loved them more than Hello Kitty or the color pink. She was particularly in love with her devoted and cherished service dog, Dixie.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cheri's Partner Ronnie Haversano. For his dedication and loyalty to our beloved Cherromyne.

Cherromyne is survived by a son, Seth A. Barfield; her daughter, Jubilee H. R. Barfield; one grandchild, Dael Jimenez; her mother, Janice R. Hertzog; one sister, Erica T. Cupp; and one brother, Louis E. Hertzog.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Bradley Wayne MacDonald, and her father, Scott L. Hertzog.
