It is with great sadness we announce the death of Cherie D'Ann George.

Cherie D'Ann George died on January 1, 2024 at her residence in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 83.  She was the daughter of Richard H. and Vivian Elizabeth Weightman and was born on January 29, 1940 in Lawton, Oklahoma.  She spent her formative years in Lawton and was a graduate of Lawton High School.

Cherie married Woodrow Dean Willis on February 12, 1958 in Studio City, California.  She was a businesswoman and successfully operated a retail clothing business, Cherie's Secrets, while living in Studio City.  Woodrow preceded her in death on April 19, 2013.  She later married Michael S. George on July 12, 2014 in Lawton.  He died on October 15, 2023.

She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Willis, and her fiancé, Michael Tenis; four grandchildren, Charles Nicgorski, Clifford Nicgorski, Emily Willis and Chase Willis; a great granddaughter, Olive Nicgorski; and two sisters, Nanette Nielson and Diane Phillips.

Her parents and her son, Kurt Paxton Willis, preceded her in death.
