Funeral for Charlotte L. Phillis, 89, Lawton will be at 10:00 AM Friday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Phillis died Monday, October 22, 2012 in Lawton. Burial will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born September 22, 1923 in Valognes, France to Charles Joseph Felix and Clementine Marie Eugenie (Burnouf) Lepoittevin. She married Galen K. (Sarge) Phillis on February 14, 1948 in Carenta, France. He died March 11, 1995. Mrs. Phillis had worked as an accountant for Rayl Finance. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Rick Gibson, Huntsville, Texas and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Suzanne Marie Eugenie Marchand and Fernande Olympe Marie Lepoittevin. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The family wishes to give special thanks to Susan Arnuad, Donita Shelton and Sarah Kelly.
