Funeral service for Charles Calvin will be at 10:00 am Friday, June 30, 2017 in the Community Church, Frederick, OK with Bob Boren officiating.

Burial will be in the Mountain Park Cemetery, Mountain Park, OK under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder.

Charles Calvin, 78, Manitou, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 26, 2017 at his home.  He was born September 24, 1938 in Blocker, OK to Frank and Ruby (Eslick) Calvin.  He grew up around Jay, OK and later moved to Frederick.  He was united in marriage on December 16, 1960 in Vernon, TX to Frances Koleta Mansell.  After they were married they lived in and around the Frederick area.  He worked in construction.  On September 13, 1975 he became a licensed minister with the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Anadarko, OK.  He later became ordained.  He started farming in 1984 east of Manitou where he made his home.  He pastored several churches in Southwest Oklahoma, Stigler, OK and Boise City, OK.  The last church he pastored was Community Church in Frederick.  He pastored this church from 2003 until 2017.

He is survived by his wife Koleta (Mansell) Calvin of the home, 4 sons, Allen Calvin of Manitou, Ronnie Calvin and wife Jeanetta of Manitou, Marty Calvin and wife Bernette of Davidson, Scott Calvin and wife Chasity of Manitou, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a brother Harold, half- brother Orville, his sister Deb and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Betty Jo Calvin, Emma Lauer, Darlene Duncan, 2 brothers, Steve Calvin, Jerry Wayne Calvin and his grandson Michael Calvin.
