Graveside Service for Charlene Shidler Donovan will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023 at Highland Cemetery with Chaplain Daniel Litchford of Comanche County Memorial Hospital Hospice officiating.

Charlene Shidler Donavan, 69, of Lawton, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 in Lawton. She was born February 22, 1954 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Charles Wesley and Doris Kathryn (Watson) Shidler. She graduated from Chickasha High School as Class Valedictorian in 1972. She attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha and attended Cameron University in Lawton. While attending Cameron University, she wrote short stories and poems in the college newspaper. She was great at crocheting and made many things for family and friends. She also sold a lot of her beautiful creations. As an adult, she often cared for other friends and acquaintances.

Charlene is survived by her son, Michael Patton of Ohio, daughter, Hilliary Donovan of Ohio, three sisters, Cheryl McCue of Oklahoma City, Lea Bean and husband Bob of Oklahoma City, and Laura Byrd of Lawton, Oklahoma and other nieces and nephews.

Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Jenny Davidson and one brother, Steven Shidler.
