Age 89, former Lawton resident of Austin, Texas - Services will be 1:30 PM Saturday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mr. Herman Lawrence, deacon at Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Mrs. Tutor died Tuesday in Austin. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. She was born May 6, 1918 in Lawton to Otto and Celia (Bray) Pokorny. Mrs. Tutor attended St. Mary's School for twelve years before graduating and then went to St. Anthony's Nursing School in Oklahoma City. She joined the Army as a nurse in 1940 and was stationed at Fort Sill. She married Ralph Cease Tutor in 1942 in Lawton. As an Air Force family for 32 years, the Tutors lived in various locations in the United States and abroad, finally retiring in Austin. Colonel Tutor died September 17, 2001. She was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Tutor, Omaha, Nebraska, a son, Kevin Tutor, Austin, Texas, two sisters, Joan Slejko, Dallas, Texas and Ellinor Stephens, Lawton, a sister-in-law, Carroll Pokorny, Washington, D.C. and numerous nieces and nephews She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Leo Pokorny and Terry Pokorny and two sisters, Katherine Sasser and Mary Ann Pokorny.
