Funeral mass for Catherine T. Ewing, 95, Sterling, will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 1 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Sterling, with Rev. Madineri Prakash, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Ewing died Monday, May 27 at her home. Burial will be in Sterling Catholic Cemetery, Sterling, under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Fletcher. Rosary will be 7:00 pm Friday, May 31 at the funeral home chapel. The family will have a visitation at 10:15 am Saturday, June 1, in the parish hall. She was born November 13, 1917 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Felix and Pazia Skupien. She married Carl Kennon. He died, and she then married Earl S. Ewing on April 5, 1946 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He died January 5, 1981. She was an alteration specialist who enjoyed crocheting, gardening and canning. She has served as the head of the church Bible school program, president of the church council and president of the Altar Society for the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. She is survived by two daughters, Diana Ewing Emmert of the home and Ellemae and her husband Donald Kennedy of Athena, Oregon; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and eleven great great grandchildren. Both husbands; a son, Carl Samuel Ewing; and nine siblings preceded her in death.
