Funeral for Carolyn Elizabeth Hahn Crook, 92, Lawton will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel Mrs. Crook died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Moore, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born to Anton and Katherine (Pauly) Hahn in a sod house near Paxton, Nebraska on November 6, 1920. She graduated from Paxton High School and went to work for Paxton's Drug after graduation. She married Boyd Edward Crook on June 29, 1941 in Paxton. He died July 5, 1966. She traveled with Boyd who was a meteorologist with the United States Army to Germany and many Army Posts in the United States. Boyd and Carolyn settled in Lawton in 1960 where Carolyn attended beauty school. She opened her own beauty shop and worked as a beautician for thirty years before retiring in 2001. Carolyn attended New Post Chapel at Fort Sill until her health would not allow her to attend. Survivors include her son, Kent Crook, Hulen, Oklahoma, a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ron Waters, Moore, Oklahoma, two grandsons, Jeffrey Waters, Moore, Oklahoma and Adam Crook, Denver, Colorado, a granddaughter, Nicole Wean, Pennsylvania and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Dennis Crook and a grandson, Kristopher Waters.
