Graveside service for Carol Snyder, 85, Fletcher will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Sterling Cemetery with Brother Dennis Myer officiating. Mildred Caroleene "Carol" Snyder passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at her home in Fletcher, OK. Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Fletcher. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Carol was born on July 2, 1928 to Dallas and Mildred Frances (Crow) Turner in the rural community of what was then known as Farwell, Oklahoma. Carol graduated from Fletcher High School in 1947 and spent her life ranching cattle at The Log Cattle Ranch just outside of Fletcher. Carol was a member of The Welch Cattle Association until the late 1990s when she retired. She was a member of The Sterling Assembly of God. Carol made friends with everyone she met and was loved by all she met. Carol is survived by her daughter Amber and her partner Sarah, 3 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandson, one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Jean Turner of Sterling and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Shelly, and her sister Joyce (Turner) Beck.
