Funeral service for Carol Lanman will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 4, 2018, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenn Lane, Olivet Baptist Church, Lawton officiating.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Carol Lanman, age 77, of Lawton passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Lawton.  She was born January 15, 1940, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, to Henry B. and Gladys (Strickler) Hinch. Carol moved with her family to Chickasha in 1953 and attended school there graduating in 1958. She married the love of her life, Harvey Lanman on June 19, 1959. They spent most of their married life in Lawton moving there in 1979. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Carol enjoyed keeping an immaculate yard, NASCAR racing, and Oklahoma University football. She never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her son, Steve and wife Christina of Lawton, grandson Danny and fiancé Celena of Lawton, two granddaughters, Lindsey Whan and Robert of Lawton, and Taylor McLain and Brad of Geronimo, great-granddaughter, Leighton McClain, sister, Connie Eickhoff of Yukon, sister-in-law Mavis Hinch of Chickasha, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Randy Lee, and a brother, Dean Hinch.
