Funeral service for Carlos Arellano Martinez, 93, Lawton, will be 10:00 am Friday, January 25, 2013, at Trinity Baptist Church with Javier Abraham officiating. Mr. Martinez died Thursday, January 24, 2013 in a local hospital. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Carlos was born November 4, 1919 in Snyder, Texas to Jacinto and Feliciana (Arellano) Martinez. He worked as a laborer in a cotton gin. He married Paula Salazar in 1940 in Mexico. She died September 29, 1993. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Francisco S. and Rosa Martinez, and Modesto S. and Margarita Flores Martinez, all of Lawton; a sister and her husband, Mary Ellen and Jose Hernandez, Brownsville, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and three brothers, Felix Martinez Arellano, Tomas Martinez Arellano and Macario Martinez Arellano. He was preceded in death by a brother, Pedro Martinez and two sisters, Juanita Martinez and Delfina Martinez.
