Graveside funeral service for Carl G. "T-Bone" Brooks will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Leonard Reimer, Chaplain, Promise Care Hospice, Lawton, officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Carl G. "T-Bone" Brooks, age 86, Lawton, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at his residence.  He was born June 23, 1930 in Hastings, Oklahoma to Luther and Hazel Brooks.  Mr. Brooks graduated high school in 1949 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950 serving with the 10th Airborne Ranger Company in Japan.  Following his discharge in 1952 he worked several years as a plumber with J.C. Hester and later taught plumbing at the Great Plains Area Vo-Tech for two years.  Mr. Brooks and his son, Ronny, worked as plumbing contractors until Carl's retirement in 1983.  He married Wanda Ruth Glass in 1964 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She preceded him in death on October 19, 2013.

He is survived by four grandsons, Joseph Brooks, Lebanon, Oregon, Curtis Brooks, Lawton, Keith Robinson and Kevin Robinson, both of Pocola, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren, Johnathon, Deana, Chelsey and Aiden.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his son, Ronny Brooks, and a step-son, Arch Robinson.
