MSG (Retired) Carl Edward Fryday, 49, of Elgin, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at home with his family.  He fought a year-long battle with lung cancer, fiercely and stubbornly determined to spend every minute he could with those he loved.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment with full military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2023 at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

He was born February 10, 1973 in Monroe, Louisiana to Ida Nell Kelley.  He was a member of the US Army and was honored to serve for 22 years.

He is survived by his wife Melissa, his son Ethan, his sister Kim, and a host of nieces and nephews that he doted on and adored spoiling.

He is preceded in death by his mother Nell, his brothers John and Mann, his sister Gail, and his beloved Uncle James and Aunt Sharon.  He will be deeply missed by all of those who became his chosen family.
