Carl B. Beene, 88, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2017.  A private family burial will be on Friday, April 28 at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill. with Pastor Gary Pratt and Pastor David Hubbard from Lawton First Assembly officiating.

Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton.

Carl was born November 12, 1928, in Bradley, Oklahoma to Otis and Vera Beene.  He joined the military and during his service he was married to the former Pauline Paquin on Oct. 4, 1951.  They were married for 46 years until her passing in 1997.  They were blessed with two children.

Later in life, Carl rekindled his relationship with his childhood sweetheart, Patrice Paul.  They were together until her passing in 2013.

His country would thank him for his service in Korea and Vietnam and would consider him a hero.  In the eyes of his family he is a hero for his loving devotion, gentle caring for friends and soft spoken words of encouragement.

Carl is survived by one brother, Alvin Beene and wife Patsy of Ft. Cobb, his children: Carl J. Beene and wife Cindy of Albuquerque, N.M. and Melinda Totte and husband Dennis of Lawton, grandchildren: David Beene, Dennis B. Totte, and Courtney Totte, and 3 great-grandchildren.
