Graveside memorial service with full military honors for SSG (Retired) Bruce A. Bolz will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

SSG (Retired) Bruce Albert Bolz, age 74, of Lawton, Oklahoma, formerly of the Bronx, New York, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. He was born June 21, 1950 in Badhersfeld, Germany.

Bruce proudly served in the United States Army for over 20 years, retiring with honor. During his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart. His dedication to his country was matched only by his deep love for his family and friends.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Diana Bolz of Portland, Indiana; daughter, Jenifer Moss of Lawton, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Marjani Moss of Oklahoma City and Nataeya McBee of Lawton, Oklahoma; grandsons, Dakari Moss, Kezlen Moss, and Kyrece Moss, all of Lawton; and great-grandson, Kai Moss, also of Lawton. He also leaves behind his stepchildren, Melissa (Patrick) Wells and their children Michaela and Braden Wells of Portland, Indiana, and David Stith and his daughters Laney and Sadie Stith of Portland, Indiana. He is also survived by his brother, Doug Aversano of Pacific Grove, California; dear friends, Cecil and Kathi Talbott of Lawton, Oklahoma; and a host of cherished gym friends who brought joy to his daily routine.

Bruce was preceded in death by his fathers, Henry Bolz and Robert Aversano; his mother, Sigrid Bolz; his son-in-law, Keelan Moss; his grandson, Jachai Moss; and his beloved dog and loyal companion, Max.

A proud New Yorker, Bruce had a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants, never missing a game or a chance to talk sports. He had a great sense of humor and was always telling stories that could make a whole room laugh. Bruce loved going to concerts, playing the lottery, and watching the horses run, but nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. He was a loyal friend, a proud soldier, and a devoted family man.

Bruce will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His strength, laughter, and love will live on through all who knew and loved him.
