Age 63, Lawton - Services will be at 12:30 pm, Monday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev Don Howard, Pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church officiating. Mrs. Parsons died Tuesday at her home in Lawton. Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma. She was born April 17, 1947 in Neustadt, Germany to Willy and Herta Anna (Meta) Skubisch. She married Statton N. Parsons on August 13, 1968 in Mt. Lena, MD. She had her teaching degree, and taught part time at Cameron University. She was a wonderful mother, cook, loved to dance, and was an avid gardener. Most of all she was proudest of getting her American citizenship on October 29, 1999. She was a member of the VFW and of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband Statton N. Parsons of the home, two children and their spouses, Ilka Woodson and Derek of Evans, GA, Ralph M. Parsons and Mary of Lawton, a sister Roswitha Kammera of Germany, four grandchildren, Kristopher, Andrea, Alexander and Brent, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ramon L. and Eunice Parsons of Glengary, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
