Brent William Nelson, 48, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. He was born June 14, 1976, in Germany to Richard Earl and Dawn Marie (Posley) Nelson. Brent spent his childhood moving all over due to his father's Army service. During his teens, his family settled in Lawton.

On May 12, 1999, Brent married his best friend and soul mate, Deon Michelle Elliott, in Lawton. They had two very special boys. Brent began his career at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant. He first started as a contractor, and two years later, he was hired at Goodyear and was still employed there when he passed. Brent had been with Goodyear for over twenty years.

Brent loved life and was never one to sit still. He was a loving husband, father, and brother who enjoyed being with family or spending a day golfing with his buddies on his days off. Above all, he was huge on family, whether they were blood-related or not, and when he loved, he loved fiercely.

Brent is survived by his wife of 25 years, Deon, of the home; a son, Ricky of Lawton; his father, Richard E. Nelson; a brother, his mother and father-in-law; sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

Brent was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Nelson; his mother, Dawn Nelson; and his brother, Anthony Nelson.

Brent's smile and amazing spirit will be missed by many, but he will live forever in our hearts.
