Eternity began for Brenda Earlene Payne, 66, Lawton, on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014. A celebration of life service for Brenda will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel. Brenda was born April 30 1948, in Anadarko, to Ernie and Doris Coffman. She graduated from Apache High School in 1966 with Salutatorian Honors. Upon moving to Lawton, Donald and Brenda welcomed Benjamin Wade in 1974 and Ashley Donene in 1978. In 1980, they moved to Duncan where they called home through 1996. She loved her church and her work in interior design. In 1991, the Paynes opened their first Christian Bookstore in the Chisholm Trail Mall. This season of selling Bibles and sharing God's love was one of her greatest joys. Years later, with grandkids on the way in California she headed out West. This next decade would prove to be her finest! She loved the small town charm of the Central Coast, the breathtaking views of Pismo Beach, and most importantly mothering her five grandchildren: Faith Moriah, Allison Grace, Isaac Benjamin, Farrah Bella and little Wynn Asher, were her greatest joys. She found much fulfillment in helping Ben and Ashley raise their babies. After she felt like her work was done there, she moved back to Lawton to rest. She is survived by Donald, Benjamin, and Ashley; her sister, Kathryn Glover; brother, Charles Coffman and brother, George Ernie Coffman. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Brenda E. Payne Memorial Fund at Fort Sill Federal Credit Union.
