Funeral service for Bonita Fern Scruggs, 79, Marlow, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gene Nease officiating. Mrs. Scruggs died Thursday, January 15, 2015, in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Letitia Cemetery, east of Lawton. Mrs. Scruggs was born March 23, 1935 east of Lawton to Weldon Darrow "Bud" and Gladys Marie (Boyles) Cosgrove. She was a 1953 graduate of Central high School. She married Alex O. Scruggs on February 9, 1962 in Lawton. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2003. She had worked for Oklahoma Drug Sales, Hamra's Department Store, the Main Exchange and the Post Exchange at Fort Sill and retired from Civil Service at Fort Sill after 23 years of employment. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was a certified speaker for Weight Watchers and a proponent of Stanley Home Products. She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Keith and Charlet Hansen, east of Lawton; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Terry and Stephanie Hansen, Brian Hansen, Angela Best, Chase and Lauren Hansen, Cody and Crista Hansen, Stormi Hansen and ShyAnna Hansen; eight great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters in law, Weldon and Sharon Cosgrove, Sterling, and Tommy and Marilyn Cosgrove, Marlow; two nephews, Tommy Joe Cosgrove and Dewayne Cosgrove. Her parents and a niece, DeAnna Wickham, preceded her in death.
