Funeral service for Beverly F. LaGrone, 79, Lawton, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at First Assembly of God, Lawton with Rev. Bill Brewer, Sr., Pastor, Hilltop Church of God, Marlow, Oklahoma officiating. Mrs. LaGrone died Monday, October 31, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Family will greet friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. Beverly was born April 26, 1932 in Lawton to Lew Reed Wesner and Ruth Mae (Burt) Haymons. She grew up in Lawton and graduated from Lawton High School in 1950. She married Harold LaGrone in Lawton in 1950 and he passed away in February 1990. She worked as a medical Secretary for over 15 years and owned and operated "Bev's Country Store and Tea Room" in Lawton for several years. She enjoyed bird watching, herbal gardening, listening to gospel music, crafting and painting with bright vibrant colors. She had numerous close friends that she enjoyed spending time with, but the biggest part of her life was her Lord and her family. She attended First Assembly of God and Trinity Assembly of God Churches. She is survived by a son, Linden LaGrone, Lawton; 2 daughters, Candy Williams, Lawton and Denise and husband Jim Cappellano, Marion, Illinois; 5 grandchildren, Caleb LaGrone, Jesse LaGrone, Tracy and husband Mike Davis, LarryDean Pope and wife Jane and Keith Pope; 3 great grandchildren, Aaron Pocowatchit, Tristan Pocowatchit and Liv Pope and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Micky Lynn LaGrone and a granddaughter, Beverly Ruth Pope.
