Age 80, Lawton - Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Highland Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Powell, Pastor, First Baptist West, officiating. Mrs. Stigers died Saturday in Lawton. Burial will be under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. She was born December 28, 1928 in Lawton to Jesse L. and Lillie Mae (Johnson) McCord. She grew up in Lawton and was a graduate of Lawton High School. She married John A. "Jack" Stigers on September 6, 1968 in Lawton. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1998. She was a homemaker for a number of years before beginning a career in retail where she retired from Sears with the credit department after 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist West. Survivors include two daughters and a son in law, Cindy and Harvey Adams, Lawton, and Sharon David, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; three grandchildren, LuCinda Maddox, Kevin Adams, Sr., and Michelle David; four great grandchildren, Maegen Adams, Kevin Adams, Jr., Gianni David and Sebastian David; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Otis and Buddie. Her parents, three brothers, Chester, Leonard and Clarence McCord, and two sisters, Thelma White and Gladys Allred, preceded her in death.
