Age 79, Lawton - Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Bishop Clyde Page, Lawton First Ward, Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints officiating. Mrs. Shields died at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City on Friday, November 28, 2008. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. She was born November 14, 1929 in Goliad, Texas to JC and Mabel Gregston Lynn. She married Marvin C. Shields on October 9, 1961 in Belton, Texas. She was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of the Lawton Chapter of TOPS #327 for over twenty years and the Fort Sill Military Widows Association. She was a life member of the Lawton VFW #5263 Women's Auxiliary. Mrs. Shields was a volunteer at the Fort Sill Thrift Shop since 1994. Survivors include four children and their spouses, Mae Adams, Chris and Helen Smith, Marti Lupi, and Chad and Tami Shields, all of Lawton, eight grandchildren, Michael Shields, DeeAnna Shields, William Perry, Michelle Timbo-Tahchawwickah, Christina Schuepert, Shannon Smith and Kelsey and David Dwyer, three great grandchildren, James, Kaia and Kristen Tahchawwickah, a special son-in-law, Bill Perry, and two brothers, Marland and Gregory Lynn, Electra, Texas. She also leaves many friends. She is preceded in death by both her parents a sister, her husband, and two daughters, Deborah Lynn Shields and Shiela Perry.
