Graveside service for Betty Jo Shaffer, 80, Lawton will be at 11:00 am Monday at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, OK with Dr. William F. Watkins, Baptist Minister, Lawton, officiating. Mrs. Shaffer died Tuesday at her home in Lawton. Burial will be under the direction of Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. She was born August 17, 1925 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Andrew A. and Mable Tolbertson. She grew up in Duncan, and worked for Haliburton for 16 years until she married LTC (Retired) Robert W. Shaffer on October 22, 1960 in Fort Bragg, NC. He died May 15, 2002. She traveled with her husband throughout Europe and to many duty stations during his career in the Army. She was a military wife, a member of the Military Widows, and a member of the BPOE DOES. She is survived by her daughter & Son-In-Law Barbara and Chris Moon of the home, a grandson Chris Moon, Jr. of the home and a niece Ashleigh Shaffer of Biloxi, MS.
