Funeral service for Betty Mae Moran, 83, Lawton will be at 10:00 am Thursday, April 24, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Bill Schneider, Pastor officiating. Betty entered her Heavenly Father's mansion on Easter morning, Sunday, April 20, 2014. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening, April 23, 2014 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home. She was born May 22, 1930 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Cranford and Viola (Dunnagan) Rothell. Her family moved to the Faxon area when she was very young. She attended Logue Chapel and Holiday country schools. Betty graduated from Faxon High School in 1948. She married Herbert (Herb) Moran on September 12, 1948 and they were blessed with one daughter, Paula Joreta. Herb preceded her in death on July 26, 1991. She worked for Raymond Thomison Tax Attorney and Income Tax Accountant for 35 years. She worked for Jerry Hrnciar at the Lawton Country Club Pro Shop, and her last job was with the American Red Cross where she was receptionist and helped set up CPR classes, etc. She worked until June of 2013. Survivors include her daughter, Paula J. Gula of Lawton; two grandchildren, Lucas and Chelsey; one great grandchild, Melany; three sisters, Janett Currey of Faxon, Loveta and husband Richard Matthys of Lawton, Dorothy Bishop of Shamrock, Texas; one brother, Calvin and wife Ilona Rothell of Jones and numerous nieces and nephews.
