Age 89, Lawton - Service will be 1:30 PM Friday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. William F. Watkins officiating. Mrs. Kowalzick died Tuesday in Lawton. Burial will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill. She was born February 17, 1918 in Manhattan, New York to Paul and Babette (Shilling) Holt. She married SFC (Ret) Alfred Paul Kowalzick on October 21, 1943 in Mandan, North Dakota. He died November 7, 1987. Mrs. Kowalzick was a member of the Society of Military Widows and the Lawton Pansy Garden Club. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald R. and Marlyn Kowalzick, El Paso, Texas, a daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Joe Durant, Tulsa and three grandsons, Garrett Kowalzick, El Paso, Mitch Durant, Austin, Texas and Matt Durant, Norfolk, Virginia. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne Kowalzick.
