Age 86, Lawton - Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Willoughby, officiating. Mrs. Martineau died Thursday in Lawton. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. She was born January 9, 1921 in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Fred and Vivian A. Simpson. She grew up in Hutchinson until moving to Hawaii with her family and later graduated from Lawton High School in 1939. She attended Cameron College. She worked for Non Appropriated Funds at the Non Commissioned Officer's Club for eighteen years. She married CSM (Ret) Robert E. Martineau on January 7, 1976 in Lawton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she had taught in the church nursery for over 20 years. She was also a member of the NCO Wives Club, the Retired Sergeant Major Wives Club and a past member of the Mt. Scott Kiwanis Club. Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son and daughter in law, William R. and Pat Brown, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a daughter, Peggy J. Moot, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
