Memorial service for Beth Miller, 91, Lawton, will be 2:00 pm Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Willoughby, officiating. Mrs. Miller went to be with her Lord Thursday, June 14, in a local care center. Arrangements are under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Beth was born July 3, 1920, in Winnebago, Minnesota to Fred and Esther Mae (Stiles) Sorensen. After graduating from high school she attended business school. She married Harold Wayne Miller on November 29, 1940, in Los Angeles, California. Harold died in May of 1986. Beth taught children in many churches in Oregon and Washington state and created distinctive flannel graph cut outs to illustrate Bible stories. When she moved to Lawton, she worked several years as a receptionist for the First Baptist West Day Care. Beth had been a member of Allene Grigg's Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Wayne and Lynne Miller, Lawton; a granddaughter and her husband, Kristin and Jake Fisher, Norman; a grandson, Gregrey Brendt Miller, and his wife, Heather Creek, and their daughter, Miranda Creek Miller, Washington, D.C.; a brother, Ronald Sorensen, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers, Robert Sorensen and Keith Sorensen..
