Memorial service for Berta K. Johnson will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Post Cemetery, Fort Sill. Berta K. Johnson, age 86, of Lawton, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Lawton. She was born September 21, 1928 in Germany to Josef and Kathrina Auer. She grew up in Austria and married SSG (Retired) Cedell Johnson on August 24, 1957 in Germany. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1986. Mrs. Johnson moved to Lawton in November of 1958. She was primarily a homemaker but also worked with her husband in his commercial custodial business. Yard work, gardening and taking care of others were among the many things she enjoyed. She is survived by a son, Robert Johnson, Lawton; three daughters, Silvia Brown, Phoenix, Arizona, Michelle Johnson, Lawton, and Jeanine Johnson - Gonzalez and her husband Arturo, West Covina, California; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeanette, Andrew, Reggie and Rudy; 3 great grandchildren, Braeden, Mekhi and Cameron and two sisters, Gertrude Banks, Chicago, Illinois and Fredrike Groeschner, Bielefeld, Germany and many nieces and nephews. Her son, Cedell "Billy" Johnson, Jr., preceded her in death.
